Zygote
The zygote is the first cell of the fetus when a sperm and egg fuse. The Mother cell then divides into two daughter cells. The daughter cells then multiply by 1, 2, 8, 16 etc. The specialised cells then start to gather. These cells make up the tissue then the organs and then the systems in the fetus' body. Organs like the liver, gallbladder and the stomach are made.
Becoming a Functional Elephant
As the elephant is born from its mother's stomach, the elephant, the baby elephant is taken care of by its mother. The elephant is very weak on its feet and takes a maximum of two years to gain strength. During the time of childhood for the elephant, it will lean bad and good habits and behaviors. They start to become sexually aware. They begin to split from their parents and become more independent. Adulthood is the longest stage, this is when the elephant is fully grown and must look out for themselves using the skills they used at childhood. They also seek a partner to mate with. At the end of adulthood, the body begins to deteriorate and they eventually start to die.
Replacement of Cells
In everyday life of the African Elephant, the body is always repairing cells. This happens until the body deteriorates and dies.
Biotic Living Factors
Biotic living factors are living which for example is animals, plants, bacteria and parasites. Biotic can also be allergens for which the elephant is allergic to and the body aging.
Abiotic Living Factors
Abiotic is anything non living. Examples of this is water, gases, temperature and sunlight.
Dependent on these Living Factors
The African Elephant depends on both of these living factors. Biotic so bacteria can kill viruses and plants to eat. Abiotic for water to drink to live, soil so the plants can grow, sunlight for the plants to grow and gases like oxygen and carbon dioxide to live.
